 Government Documents

The Monmouth University Library is both a United States and New Jersey Government Documents depository. The Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) is responsible for the distribution of U.S. documents published by government agencies, and these publications are paid for by all taxpayers. The library’s United States documents’ collection comprises many subject areas, but most heavily concentrates on publications from health and human services, criminal justice, education, and business. The library’s New Jersey documents’ collection from the past five years is more limited in subject range and quantity because of the trend toward publishing documents online. Thus, much of the recently-published state information will be found online and not necessarily in a tangible collection. The Documents’ Librarian makes many of the most relevant and current of both U.S. and N.J. documents accessible through the library’s online catalog and when possible, with links to the document’s online version. For additional help, please contact the Documents’ Librarian at 732/263-5591 or at skadezab@monmouth.edu
